We participated NEOCON, World's Trade Fair 2006 in Chicago on 12, 13, & 14th June 2006 corporate with a furniture maker from Nagoya.
NEOCON is a big trade fair of office furniture hold in Chicago every year since 1969.
Participant counts approx. 1200 companies, and it is not only makers of furniture, but also top makers and designers of interior, fabric, construction material, hardware, and they compete for newest function and design.
We opened a booth on the 7th floor in Chicago Merchandise Mart Center.
The center consists 18 floors. In NEOCON period, there came various makers from the world open the show booth on 7, 8th floors.
This time, only we from Japan participated in furniture products.
We exhibited, this time, flap-table, folding table, aluminium panel system for space-saving.
We impressed "Japan made" printing a photo of KINKAKUJI temple on pamphlet, as there were few Japanese exhibitors.
We got high valuation in quality, and received many inquiries not only product, but also small parts.
At the start, we were afraid of what would go on in the exhibition.
But, American and Canadian makers (more than we expected numbers of) visited our booth and had valuable business talk.
